I downloaded EMC8.
It installed fairly succesfully except for a couple of problems.
1. All programs seem to work but not all have correct shortcut icons.
2. The desktop icon did not appear correctly. It's a square blue and white box. When I click on it a message appears: Windows is searching for "Roxio_Central.exe".
3. There is no Roxio Central.exe on the computer. It was left out of the download bundle.
4. When I try to uninstall EMC8 I get the following error message; "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid."

This is ridiculous.

Looking forward to your help.

I have the downloaded version and that file is on my computer,so either you have a bad installation or a bad download. As far as the download the only thing to try is to download it again. For the installation, you say you can't uninstall it.Has this been from Add/Remove in the control panel? If so I'm not quite sure what you can do.Maybe try removing all folders and all files you can find that have anything to do with Roxio, running roxizap to try and remove any remains and try reinstalling again. Also try running a registry cleaner afterwards.Try that and see what happens.
