Greetings,
I have installed EMC9 on my system (specs below) and have run into a rather strange problem.  Most of the EMC9 programs will not recognise either drive as a device that can burn a disk.  The D2D program has no problems buring to either device, and the DVDInfo program recognises both as being CD/DVD recorders/re-writers.
I have looked through many of the threads on this forum and have not found any issues exactly the same.  I did follow the directions for many that were similar, but to no avail.  Any help would be apprecieated.

Specs: (from device manager)

  • CPU: Mobile AMD Athlon™ XP-M Processor 2800+ 1.88ghz
  • RAM: 1GB
  • Video: Radeon 9000 dual head, most current drivers
  • CD/DVD Drives: (both on secondary IDE)

    • (Master) Lite-on DVDRW SOHW-16936 (Firmware unknown)

    • (slave) Lite-on LTR-16102B (Firmware unknown)
  • 2 HDD: (both on Primary IDE)

    • (Master) WDC WD400BB-60BNA1

    • (Slave) WDC WD800BB-00CAA0
  • Audio: RealTek AC'97 Audio

Already tried it, but just in case tried it again.  No go.  It still doesn't allow me to burn disks.  Drag2Disk does, but nothing else does.

Are the drives seen in device manager? Are there any yellow exclamation marks by them?

Uninstall the secondary IDE channel, reboot and try them.

After re-installing XP and getting the newest driver... I had to step back 1 driver level, and now it works.
