When you go searching make sure you get the right version.

Click on one of the programs within the suite and then click on "help" at the top, and then "about".

Here is one http://www.amazon.com/Roxio-Videowave-Movi...4943162-2411944

I have Roxio Videowave, Movie Creator and Sonic MyDVD v 4.0. It is software that came with my dell computer. It was hard with me to part with this because it was so user friendly but the I'm glad I did... they're are so many more things you can do with the newer versions and so much help here on this site...

Anyway, I have it but I'm not sure you can install used software??? If there is a way, I'll get it to you...

This would be a Dell OEM version of Roxio and may not work on the users machine. Who knows what modifications Dell did . For sure it would be a basic/limited version.

I wouldn't recommend using the Dell version either.

I bought the original Movie Creator a few years ago for about $50 and it worked well.

My concern is that if you've changed computers, you might need a newer version.

Easy Media Creator is the newer product that allows you to create movie DVDs easily. It includes VideoWave and MyDVD.

Movie Creator was a version of VideoWave and DVD Builder ( DVD Builder has been changed to MyDVD in the newest version.)

Internet Explorer 7 and Windows Media Player 11 are 'breaking' products like MovieCreator. The newest version 9 is supposed to work with both. Make certain that your computer exceeds the minimum specifications, then give it a try. ( There's a free trial version)

Wow thank you for all the replies and your kind offer, asundull :)

I have spent ages looking on Ebay, I keep looking, but have not found the version I need

Hey ogdens, I do not have the program, so i cant access the version  and the link to Amazon is for a newer version... this is my problem.. thanks anyway

asundull, thanks for the offer, really cool of you, however yeah it probably is a special edition cut down version, but thank you anyway... as for me upgrading, i have Roxio Easy Media Creator 7, and I just do not like it, it is soooo slow compared to the old version i had, I use it, but not in depth or much as it is just so slow... was really disappointed when i bought it...

Thanks ml, but my PC is bang up to date running dual core and I have the geforce 7950 GX2 gfx card etc.. its just that i was put off by the version 7 of the program you correctly mention.. hence I want the version I know works well and works fast... I bought it maybe 8 yrs ago, roughly, and I paid £50 for it...

Really am at a loss if you guys cannot identify it, or if no one has it for sale :D

When Roxio releases a product, it frequently includes updates in the same product.

The version that I have is v.1.5.545.0 ENG and the package looks the same as the one advertised on e-bay. Just make certain that you're not getting the Dell version.

Movie Creator is a whole lot easier to use than EMC 7.

Have you tried the StoryBuilder or Cinemagic options under the File menu in EMC 7 VideoWave. I think StoryBuilder is the closest to the MovieCreator package.

Hi, yeah i am looking for the 1st version, or very probably the 1st version.. I never used the cinemagic nor story builder, always used the other option, storyline editor... loved that program, so many options and so straight forward, I knew i could bring whatever footage I had and actualy do what I wanted with it... I am reluctant in purchasing the latest videowave, as the v.7 I have i do not like...

HELP!!! Im still looking for an early full version!!

I guess you could try Roxio Customer Service and see if they have a copy of Movie Creator lying around.

What ogdens suggested is you best resource. You're looking for software that isn't being sold anymore and many people sell the software that they don't need anymore on places like ebay or amazon.

Was buying cd'rs on the weekend at my local computer shop and was looking in the bargin bin as I walked toward the checkout and saw a the Roxio Movie Maker box sitting on the top of the pile of discounted programs, it was marked down to $10.00 cdn

Where do I find the version number? I will look tonight at my version and see if thats what you are looking for. If it is I can stop by the store again and see if they have additional copies.

The user does not know the version they are lookin for, which makes it hard to identify what they really need.

Hi ogdens thank you... yes it does look like that, very much so (but i never used the 'storybuilder' as featured in this photo, so cannot be 100% sure) but yes it is the same window style, so looks like it could have been 1.5? :)

I have version 1.5 of Movie Creator and it has CineMagic, StoryBuilder and StoryLine Editor. It also has Easy Capture and VideoCD/DVD Maker.

Movie Creator was basically a standalone version of VideoWave 5 with Capture and DVD burning capabilities. Roxio dropped the Movie Creator name and the newer products are called VideoWave PRO.

The version I purchased recently is 1.5.545.0 VideoWave Movie Creator. If this is the version I can check the discount bin for you to see if there is any more boxes.
