Am updating the drivers now and will be back as soon as that is done. Will that alone cause all these problems?
The slowness, the locking up ect.? Jeanne

1: go to control panel, system, advanced and set for best performance
2: in the same place set pagefile to double your RAM (both min and max values to be the same)
3: defrag the hard drive before starting
4: shut down any background applications (messengers and so on)

Set the page size larger and system for best performance tried to burn 1 small video clip to file and got the 80004005 encoding error again!!!!!!!!!!! Everything works faster but what is the problem how can anyone who doesn't much about a computer even get along with this program. I have to go now but will check tonight so if anyone can help with this error please so. It imports no problems, plays the project perfectly, but will not burn to disk or to file it WILL NOT ENCODE!!!!!!!!!!!

Just an update also posted this under burning issues. My DVD9 doesn't seem to like VOB files once I imported and converted them to mpeg2 the project burnt fine. No 80004005 and no lock up at encoding.
