I just bought Backup MyPC 2006 for my XP laptop. It appears to install properly and reboots the machine as it says it needs to do to complete the installation. But when I try to run the backup program, it opens the initial "Roxio Backup MyPC window" that tells you the program is loading and about to run. But the window never goes away and the program doesn't start running. I've tried leaving it overnight, still there in the morning. I tried deleting the whole program and reinstalling using the "install everything" option, same problem. Whats wrong with what I'm doing? :-(

This may be a shot in the dark, but I believe the first time you use BUMP, it requires to go online for activation/registration. Can't remember for sure, but I think it does that. Been too long. If you have a firewall that shuts it down, it will not run. If you have a firewall running, tell it to allow sbewin32.exe access.
