So I was complaining earlier how crappy this software was until I got an idea. I kept thinking to myself (there's probably some program that keeps interfering with the Tivo Transfer program). Many of you might have a gmail account and therefore probably have the great little "Google Notifier" on the top right. Just out of curiousity, I exited all of the Google Notifiers and voila, all my shows suddenly appeared under my tivo name. Don't ask me how it works, but it worked for me. You might also have to keep opening and closing the Tivo Transfer program before you see your shows, but it should be almost instantaneous when it does work. Cheers!.

Yes, this is really good info.  Can you give us some additional details on what exactly you disabled (I dont use many Google Tools myself other then google earth which happens to completely rock).  Is it a notifier for gmail?

Yeah its a little app that google has. You can download it right here http://mail.google.c...tifier_mac.html . After I disabled that, I closed and opened the Toast application and my shows appeard and the transfered worked perfectly.

Interesting... I've been using GMail Notifier for some time but haven't experienced this issue...

Well I'll be a blue-nosed gopher......

It worked. Just when I was about to give up using TiVoToGo. I turned off notifier and a movie I was trying to transfer, finally transferred.

How in the world did you come upon this bit of a hack? I read what you said but to narrow it down so quickly, man that's great lateral thinking!

All I can say is thanks!

Mark

I am having the same problem; my first xfer was perfect (1 hr, 1.2 gig); thereafter all xfers bomb out at about 900mb with no error message. I have rebooted all apps and turned evrything off except tivo transfer and the results are the same. I do not use gmail or have other Google apps running. Any other ideas...?

thx
