Problem definition (aka Bug):

When creating a slideshow from Videowave 9 using "New Slideshow" Wizard, there is a bug when you attempt to manually edit or change the wizard's generated "Auto" Pan & Zoom.

See the Example Below

After Clicking "OK you will see no change as shown below:

Notice the Black Background is still present, even though the Zoom Box in the "Pan & Zoom Editor" attempts to cut it during edit.

Below is the procedure to override a frame or frames Pan & Zoom setting from "Auto" to "Manual" (or "Advanced").

1) Right-click on Frame you wish to change and choose "Edit>Pan & Zoom"

2) Set to MANUAL and make changes to Start & End Frame, and click OK

3) Right-Click on Same Frame and Choose Auto Motion

4) Click UNDO, and all the Frames that were adjusted manually up to this point will take effect.

There is a simpler method provided on the EMC 8 Forum (Yes this bug has been present since EMC 8, and never fixed by ROXIO), but be careful or you can mess up your timing:

1) Right-click on Frame you wish to change and choose "Edit>Pan & Zoom"

2) Set to MANUAL and make changes to Start & End Frame, and click OK

3) Click the UP arrow on the "Duration" above image in Preview Screen, then immediately click the down arrow and the new animation will appear in the Story Board.

I hope these tips help, I spent many hours wrestling with this, to the point I was about to restore my CLONED drive (containing EMC 7.5) and generate the video from Videowave it and send to NERO.

Hopefully Roxio will fix this in the badly needed update we are all waiting for.

Cheers!
