I'm new to this and am trying to create a video for my daughter's high school graduation. I have created about 10 productions (photos w/background audio) and want to stitch them together into one long video that I can then burn to a dvd.  Can someone walk me thru this process?  Thanks!

One way is to bring them in as individual title(movie) in MyDVD. That will create ten titles (ten menu buttons).

If you want to merge them as one big production, it is a tedious process using copy/paste method.

Suppose you have 3 Videowave productions A, B and C and you would like to create a 4th one, say D, that combines A, B and C in that order, you can do the folowing:

1) Launch VW and open A and then save as D.
2) Open B and select all items (Ctrl-A) and copy (Ctrl-C).
3) Open D. On menu bar, select Edit and then Paste. That should paste the items from B to D (basically you now have A & B on D ) . Save D.
4) Open C and and select all items (Ctrl-A) and copy (Ctrl-C).
5) Open D. On menu bar, select Edit and then Paste. That should paste the items from C to D (you now have A, B and C on D). Save D.
6) Work on D now to add transitions between A, B and C.

Please note that during the copy/paste method, some objects may not get copied at all (overlay for example). Therefore you have to inspect what are missing after doing the copy method at each stage.

Good luck!

If I do the copy/paste method, will that copy my music, durations, transition etc?  I went thru a lot to get each of these productions just right with the music, duration, transitions etc.  I would like to avoid having to re-do all that.
Thanks
Liz

As I mentioned some of them do not get copied --  if I recall correctly only the objects in the main track get copied (videos, photos, transitions and anything added internally to those objects).

You can experiment first with two small productions (each productions with video/photos/transitions, external audio, external text, overlays and effects) and see which objects don't get copied.
