I have windows xp(sp2) media center edition. Up until some maybea month ago, I could burn DVD's perfectly. Now, I can only burn data DVDs. If I try to burn a video dvd it gives me t his error: operating system error::Gdiplus::Status = 0x80040217 -13. I have all my windows updates(unfortunatly). Also, (interestlying enough) my computer should have come with windows media center edition 2005, which it says on the tower. The computer keeps telling me its the 2002 version. I know its a software problem. I tested the hardware and it passed all the tests.  This happens when I use Sonic(which came with the comp) and the windows media center edition burner software.
It seems microsoft updated their gdiplus.dll against malware/etc and Sonic hasnt. So now, sonic no longer works since they havent patched. Any ideas as to how to fix?!
