The set start time and set end time buttons are not selectable (grayed out) when trying to edit my movie. How can I resolve this? This is in Videowave or the Create DVD projects.
Thanks

Do you have EMC 8 Suite or EMC Deluxe Suite? Some functions are not available in the Suite. Having said that, I'm not sure what commands you are talking about. Can you explain a little more? Are you using the trimmer that you get to from adjust duration? You should have that. Did you add and then select that video section before you selected trim?
You might be better off by just cutting off what you don't need/want. This is for V9 but the steps are the same. Remember that trimming or cutting out a section of a video does not change the original video file unless you overwrite it.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Thanks, I have the suite. I believe I used it before though. I'm talking about the 5 buttons starting with set start time and ending with go to end of object. I can't select them.
Could it be it's because I am working with .mpg and not .avi? I tried an .avi but it's the same.
I cut the first section off according to your demo but then it doesn't seem to let me do any more. I need to get used to this program I guess. Thanks.
