Did you install Internet Explorer 7 and/or Windows Media Player 11?
Did you uninstall Napster?
If you did the MS ones - uninstall them (they will kill anything up to and including EMC8)
Napster - download the latest version from www.napster.com and then remove it in Add/Remove programs. This should reset the Dragon Engine (Napster was originally bundled with EMC7 but has now gone its separate ways)
If as you say the program worked until recently - it must be a recent installation that has caused the damage

To reply - just click on the 'Add Reply' button at the bottom - 'reply' will quote the other post
Try the Napster solution - Dragon Engine problems were always associated with Napster
Did you install WMP11?

....and I'll continue on with download of current napster. I've removed the ver 7 of Roxio which I'll go back to the on-line store roxio site & use my key to install it fresh again on my Dell XPS Pro computer. I'll let you know the results.

Smart move as far as I'm concerned. That's pretty much how my system works as well. I don't even have my NIS 2006 security system set to automatic updates. I check for updates about every 3 or 4 days and do the "LiveUpdate" manually. Since Symantec (Norton) now has integrated some of it's automatic update balloons with Microsoft, that was the straw that broke the camels back for me. LOL
Good luck on your fresh install of ver 7. If your computer is "clean" you shouldn't have any problems.
