I just installed Roxio Easy Media Creator Suite 9 - when I click on "vidoe" and "MYDVD" it tells me it is going to profile my video card in order to tune it (or something like that) than immediately it says "videocard diagnosis failed-application will not run"  and that's it.

I've asked "Roxanne" - nothing available
Emailed Roxio twice last week - still no response
Called and spoke to a Roxio tech 3 days ago - he had me download Nvidia GeForce - did not change anything.

I've checked with all the systems requirements and I have them all.

Basically, I don't know what else to do except return this product - before I do that, does anyone and any experience with fixing this issue?  I'm open for suggestions!

Thanks,
Connie

The problem is related to your video adapter. It could be that it doesn't meet the minimum req's to run the program, or it needs updates. Start by checking for and installing the latest drivers for your video adapter. also make sure you have the latest Directx9c installed from MS. If that doesn't help, then post back with your system specs, especially the make/model of your video adapter.

Your video card won't work with the software, you are low on RAM, and you are low end on the CPU.  You should be able to burn data and music CD's and DVD's, but for all else, it will be slow going, and you won't be able to do any video work without a new video card.

Here are the minimum system specs for the software:

What video card do you suggest?  The one I have is the one the Roxio tech recommended (which isn't working)  Even with a new video card - would it be too difficult to make videos?
Thank you for you help

I would recommend you think of a card with 256 MB onboard RAM and also seriously consider at least doubling up the main RAM on the computer

The card you have is AGP 4x so a similar AGP card will work

However, at 1.6 GHz video rendering will be painfully slow
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
