I am using a Audio line-in/USB 2 capture device from CompUSA (house brand), and can see and hear the VHs tape I am capturing in the Media Import window, but the imported files are silent. If I select "audio" in the Import windows, I can record the video's audio just fine. Any suggestions?

EMC really needs a firewire connection for capture

Try capturing the a/v file first (using whatever came with the capture device or Windows Movie Maker and import the file to EMC
