I have been reading and reading and then reading again. There seem to be lots and lots of solutions but no one says "It Worked" So I am wondering has anyone gotten this encoding error code to go away? Here my dilema and maybe someone can help....I have a Dell Dimension 5150 PC....I recently purchased a new video card 215MB(or which ever one is 200 something) and downloaded Direct 9x. Last night I burned a DVD and it worked fine. When I tryed to burn a second I began to get this error. Here are some of the things that I did diffrent the first dvd the movie was downloaded from the camcorder using the Windows video program. On the one where the burn didnt work I used Roxio to transfer the movie not sure if this is the issue. On the burned that work I just added a menu backround and some audio and burned the movie as is.......I didnt add any transiciotns or edited it. The dvd that didnt work did have some editing..I am getting frustrated....People have suggested something called Rendering Option and Graphic Drivers....How do I do this??? Any help will be appreciated BIG TIME

Try getting the latest drivers from the maker's website - they will be more up to date than the CD you got with the card

First of all, uninstall the existing ones and push windows to the default (horrible looking) graphics, then run the install program you downloaded

btw - it would be 256 MB on your card (they always go up in powers of 2)
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

What is your graphics chipset (right click on the screen and go to properties)

To uninstall - control panel, system, device manager and do it there
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
