If I purchase either EMC-8 or RecordNow! at this time, will they be fully compatable with computers equipped with the new Windows Vista OS, which shoud be out by years-end?

Probably not  but they will update it and hope it doesn't cause to many problems, but it will. You will beta test it and report your problems here and a new update will appear. Same same with all new OS software and new 64 bit drivers. Base your decision on today's products and function's not tomorrow's. They have problems with the software in xp let alone Vista, unless you live in the future.

I'm testing Visat but have not tried EMC8 yet.  Right after it came out, another few testers posted on the Vista beta forum that they've not had much luck.  I don't remember specifics but I do know it was enough info for me not to waste my time checking it out.  Like XP, Vista has a compatibilty mode setting so that you can install earlier software better.  However, since it's still in beta, I've not found this helpful with other software yet either.
