Can't Get Drag to Disc Working

I tried to a full installation of Media Creator 8, but during restart, I get a dialog box that says "Drag to Disc could not be started because components necessary to run are missing. Please reinstall Drag to Disc." I've tried to repair the installation, I've tried re-installing, and I've tried the custom installation of Drag to Disc with no luck.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what's going on???

Do you have any other packet writing s/w on your system (Sonic DLA, Nero INCD or similar)?
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Hello I'm having the same issues with Easy CD Creator 7 version.I never had this error show up before till recently.I've tried reinstalling it several times with no luck.I can't burn any CD's without the drag to disc function.What components are missing that it may be looking for? Please Help ASAP! Thanks WIlliamM

A CD-R is NOT a "great-big floppy-disc", and does NOT need to be formatted before use. (There is no difference between CD-R and CD-RW in this regard, it's just that you can erase an ENTIRE CD-RW and re-use it - making RW media useful for testing.)
When you format a CD (or DVD) you are using Packet-Writing, which is notorious for losing data. It doesn't matter which program (Drag2Disc, Nero's InCD, Sonic's DLA, etc), altho the different programs are incompatiable with each other and sometimes with different Versions of the same program.
If the idea is to backup your data for the long term, you should be using Creator Classic. If he idea is a "great-big floppy-disc" that you can add and remove things at will, I'd suggest a Flash drive (aka Jump / Thumb / Keychain / Pen drive).
Or, you can wait until the day you find the data on your Packet-Writing discs has disappeared and then come back to discuss it.

Lyn, I know you've seen your target phrase "drag to disc", but before you go into your ob. rant, please read the member's question.
In other words he is having trouble burning with Creator Classic. He is not trying to burn with the drag-to-disc function.
Now that you have read his question properly, and since you are posting in this area you must have experience in using this software, can you help him?
