Copy your files to a temp folder on the hard drive and copy them to the DVD from there

You will have to supply a lot more information.
What do you mean by "copy a slideshow which is on a CD to a DVD"? Are you just referring to the photo files or an actual slideshow created with some program? What program did you use? In what format is the slideshow?
What program are you using to copy the slideshow? If you want to create a slideshow on the DVD you can't simply copy from CD to DVD even if you first copy to the hard drive. A slideshow on a DVD (which is actually a movie on the DVD) has to be created via myDVD or some other slideshow creation program.
BTW, posting to a thread 9 months old is poor practice since very few people will see the post and respond. You should start a new topic and explain a bit more what you are trying to do and what you have done so far.

I have a family slide show I made using Adobe Phototshop 4. When done I put iot on a CD but it won't play in many players. So I thought if I copied it onto a DVD it would be more compatible with all DVD players. That is why I am hoping there is a way to copy from a video CD to DVD. Roxio told me Creator 9 would do this so I purchased it... but no luck... I hope I have made this more clear. I thank you for trying to help me!! Joey

Put in the CD, go to it, select the photos and copy those to the hard drive
Then, use the photos on the hard drive to create a new slide show
When you have done that - THEN put in a blank CD and burn the newly made slide show

Are you talking about a DVD player in a computer system or stand-alone DVD players.
I have no idea what format your Photoshop slideshow is in. If it has an exe extension then there is no way it will work on a DVD player even if you could copy it to a DVD.
Your best bet is to recreate the slideshow using Videowave/myDVD and the original photos.
