Hello I just bought emc 9.  I can't burn vob files.  it gives me this message when I try to use the copy module.  Also when using my dvd to make a movie I can watch the movie using the preview button but not burn the disc.  I left it running last night and this morning it was still at 0% encoding.  I tried to reinstall my video driver andI think all of the other things I read on this board.  I tried with 2 laptops.
One is a
compaq presario v3100
Windows xp home edition 2002
amd sempron 1.59 ghz 960 mb ram
video card is nvidia geforce go 6150
The other
hp pavillion zd8000
Windows xp
intel pentium 3.00 ghz
1gb ram
ATI mobility radeon x 600
any help woul;d be appreciated before I kill myself.
Thanks.

Check this thread

Although that says '07 it also applies to '05 (basically it's a hardware problem with either your video card or the drivers)
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

I tried the fixes on this thread with no luck.  I set to full acceleration.  I set to best performance.  Still getting the error when using disc copy.  This is on the compaq.

Did you try for the latest drivers from nVidia (not the Compaq ones - they tend to be a couple of months behind) and also the latest DirectX 9.0c (Dec release) from MS?

Yes I have tried these as well.  Maybe I'm not doing something right with the driver.  I uninstall it and then the computer shuts down and when it comes back it is already reinstalled.  Where can I go to manually reinstall it?  I did install it a few times from the website but maybe that isn't working either.

I had a similar problem and tried installing the updated NVIDIA driver from their website. Like you, when I uninstalled the old driver and rebooted, the old driver already seemed to be reinstalled. I uninstalled a second time and then on reboot hurried up and installed the new driver. That made all the difference - I went from hanging at 0% progress to a full render and burn with no hitches.
