Will it burn a DVD Player Playable DVD? DVD burning 101

I have just tried to bring some digital movies into iMovie in order to edit and then burn them only to find out I have to use the lame iDVD in order to burn a DVD that I can play on my TV. Surely there must be a better program out there that will allow me to do a simple burn without it looking like some cheezy garbage. Will this do it? I want to be able to play them in a dvd player and I don't need any stinky trendy little backgrounds!!!

Popcorn does not do this. Either Toast 7 and Toast 8 are what you need.
