I made a dvd and now I want to edit it. All I have are the Projectdata, Metadata and Plasmadata files. Roxio is looking for the avi file which I don't have. Is there a way to edit/open the dvd files?

You'll have to rip the avi back from the DVD to work at it
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

There are two ways to try this…
The short way is to copy the vob files in the VIDEO_TS folder to your HD and rename the extension from vob to mpg.
You can then add all of them into VideoWave and output them as an AVI or mpeg.
Since this does not always work, truncated files, the longer way is to use Capture to capture from the DVD to a file.

There is no vob files, all I have are the Projectdata, Metadata and Plasmadata files. (Stupid way of burning to a dvd if you ask me).

If there are no vob files on your DVD then you do not have a video DVD. You better explain a bit more what you have done because you did did not create a DVD.
