roxio kidnapped my scanner icon

ever since I have installed easy Media creator 8 deluxe suite, my HPpsc1210 scanner is "attached" to the roxio program. when I click my HP director icon it tries to open the Roxio program.   How do I Un-select roxio from being opened by this program,  I want it to be attached to the HP program i am on windows  xp media edition

Right click on the icon, go to properties and 'find target'

Change that to the scanner exe file

Thanks for your reply,  Target was ok. turned out that explorer 7 was in conflict with hp director. i downloaded a patch, it now works ... thanks again

Now why don't that surprise me? :)

I'd strongly recommend you remove IE7 from your computer and also WMP11 if you have that as well. They do mess up a lot of stuff.

If you like the tabbed browser, keep IE6 for MS Updates (you can't remove that anyway) and install Firefox - it's far superior to IE anyway

btw - you wouldn't happen to be a 'JamesGrim' that I used to know on IRC?
