If you tried the patch, don't have IE7 or WMP 11, then the problems may be your computer or the project itself. Please post your computer specs. Did it work "before" ? How long in time is the project?
If you used VideoWave to build your project, open VideoWave and output that file to mpg2 for DVD best quality. If it does not encode, note the time it hangs and then look back in your project to see what is happening at that time. It could be anything including bad transition timing, music you purchased from an on-line store, a video that is not compatible, etc. If it encodes correctly, then there are some other things you can try. Have you created a custom menu? It could be that also.
Try doing a repair install of the program. Make sure you do not have your anti-virus running when you do this. If you did during the initial install, that could have screwed up the registration of the components.

ok, here it goes
on my desltop i have an icon for "Roxio PhotoSuite and VideoWave Premier Suite 8"
when i dbl click on it, a window comes up and offers me many tabs. among them is "home" which when clicked, ofers me the following: "Welcome" "Aplications" and "Recources"
I would click on aplications to bring up a series of apps. among them video wave 8
one i clicked on that, i would begin my productions in the normal way, BUT!, when i tried to burn my production to dvd, hence the errors......
Ok, so, I am furious, as you know. I am doing everyhting I know to check my cpu for ANYTHING!!!
At about 2am, for some reason, i clicked on Start, Programs, to see if there were any new programs installed and to find Roxio.
Ok, this is imprtant, I think, so pay attention, LOL..
I followed my cursor as folows: START>PROGRAMS>Roxio PhotoSuite and VideoWave Premier Suite 8>DVD & VIDEO>VIDEO WAVE.....
this time, only video wave 8 came up, not the whole suite. video wave looked just like it did when I clicked on APllications (read above). So, I opned an exisiting project, clicked on DVD icon, burn disc(create DVD)
and.........it worked! IT friggin worked. I tried it agan wth another project, (slide show too).
and.........It worked. So for Sh&t$ and giggles, i closed it all down rebooted, and did the same thing. it worked again. So, then I tried it again, excepot this time, I used the desktop icon for"Roxio PhotoSuite and VideoWave Premier Suite 8", clicked on the home tab>applications/video wave opend up the same projects,
and recieved the #$^@ error message again. closed it, went to START>PROGRAMS>Roxio PhotoSuite and VideoWave Premier Suite 8>DVD & VIDEO>VIDEO WAVE
open the same project.and it worked!!1
My "non-scienctific conclusion" = you must open video wave through the start button, or open video wave "alone" without the whole suite. There must be something corrupt in the software or a conflict of sorts, but if someone else who is getting the same arror (error while encoding etc. Error 80004005 and 80045018)
try this and let me know. it would be a good consilation prize to be a hero for a day/

I wouldn't have sussed that one myself simply because I never did use the start/home icon - I always ran the bit I wanted from the start menu itself
