First of all - get rid of WMP11. That is causing problems and is also very tight on DRM (you may find files you prevuiosly could access are no longer accessible)

Then go to MS and download and run the Cleanup Utility asnd get rid of all installed Roxio and Sonic programs. When that's done, install the new version 9

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

In my previous quandry...with the videowave9 error...I spoke to Gateway and found that malware had configured my E burner drive not to function....causing the previous *shut down* issue.

With that repaired...and updated anti virus/spyware installed...(but shut off for working on MYDVD 9 Studio Premier...)
I uninstalled IE7 (I use Mozilla Firefox) I did not roll back to WM10...again (as I did before to fix MYDVD 6.2)
I was told by ROxio that WM11 will work with my new version...so updated back to WM11.

I successsfully created a collection of videos and successfully burned a DVD.
My second project stopped at 79% overall progress. when canceling/shutting down the program...researching...it came up with:

VideoWave9.exe

Error Signature

C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER56c7.dir00\VideoWave9.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER56c7.dir00\appcompat.txt

szAppName : VideoWave9.exe szAppVer : 9.0.3.0 szModName : hungapp
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

i JUST GOT YOUR EMAIL RESPONSE.....I am trying to delete projects in MYDVD 6.2(and redo in MYDVD 9 Studio Premier)Will I lose my new projects if I delete ALL versions? I am stillwaiting for the Backup CD copy of my new version so I can follow thru with your suggestion!
THANKS

You could lose the 6.2 projects - I'd suggest you finalise those before doing the roll back so they won't be needed.

I could be wrong in that (not being into a lot of video work) but it would be as well playing safe there
