I love using EMC7. If I upgrade to EMC9 will everything work the same way as EMC7 ? I mainly create slide shows and burn them using DVD Builder. Thanks Dave

Of course there are some major differences and additions but the suites do have a similarity that's carried over from 7 to 9. I find that having 16:9 support is very useful and DVD Builder is now MyDVD which gives you more control over your menus and movies. Motion menus, setting bitrate etc.

Pach, V9 uses a completely different method of rendering productions and handling video especially things like transitions than does V7. Many people complain about problems with V9 because their computer, primarily their video card is not good enough or is outdated. If you post your computer specs, perhaps we can give you some advice.
Also you might consider downloading the free trial of V9 before you buy it. See if it works for you. This is an almost complete version with only some applications not included - things like Drag2Disc (which you don't want loaded anyway.) If you like it, you can buy it but remove V7 before you do. you can install it later if you want both. There is also a new Deluxe version that has the same functionality as V9 (nothing new there) but does have some add ons. One good one is a lite version of Sound Soap that cleans up audio in Video files, and imported LP or cassettes; there is a Dazzle USB capture device, more MyDVD menus and CineMagic themes and other. It is a good deal if you are upgrading and your budget allows.
One other thing, you will not be able to import projects from V7 into V9. That's why the reinstall of V7 if you need to.

Thanks for your help, I'll try the trial version to see if I like it.
