When you "toast it" a show from TiVo Transfer into Toast 8, the date that shows up in Toast is the date you clicked the "toast it" button, not the date the show was recorded (as shown in TiVo Transfer). Is there a way to preserve the show date without editing? Or, could that be added as an option in the next release?

What do you mean... where is this date showing up?
When I export a show for iPod.. and it's added to my iTunes library... there's a Date Added column that shows the current date, but that's to be expected. The original air date is included in the shows' description column.

When looking in TiVo Transfer's TiVo Recordingss, anything that has a blank episode will have a date substituted for the episode when transferred to Toast. This shows up in the Toast video window (DVD) typically in the form of:
Poster frame on the left.
Title
Date (or episode, if available)
Duration
Video specs
Audio specs,
Edit button on the right.
for an example, check the jpg at

The date shown is when the "toast it" button was clicked, not the recording date. For news shows that typically don't have an episode or a description, the recording date is really important information to include on a DVD without having to edit each one. Thanks.

OK. I understand what you are saying now.
We have verified the behavior and logged it as a feature request for a Toast update.
Thanks.
