I am using EMC8 to build DVD production with slides and video. When trying to add a color panel the application crashes, sets up the dialog panel to send the error to microsoft and closes.

Two things
First, if you have installed Internet Explorer 7 and/or Windows Media Player 11, roll back to the earlier versions (they wreck EMC8)
Second, update video drivers from the card maker's website and also install DitrectX 9.0c (from MS - February release)
