VideoWave9 Fonts?

Although it's not a major problem for me, I'd like to know if there is a way to see the style of a font before selecting it? Right now the only way I can see it is to actually enter text then highlight it to change the font. I looked in the Fonts file in Windows Explorer and found over 200 fonts so i dont' think I will be opening all those files just to get a preview sample. Thank goodness for the 'search' feature. I've already found malatekid's reply to someone else about adding custom fonts. But that doesn't answer my quesiton.
I've used PhotoSuite 8.05 (formerly MGI) for several years. It has a drop down list that actually gives a sample of the style in addition to listing the name of the font. EMC9 doesnt' have that feature in either PhotoSuite nor VideoWave9.
Thank goodness for all the sharing!!! I hope to be able to give back to the community when I learn how to better use the programs.

I have not problem viewing text before I add it. Click on Add Text Effect, and up pops a separate window with text in it.

One thing that may help is a Font Management app. There are several freebies on the net. Here is one called Font Selector.

Gary, fonts, fonts, fonts. Thanks to you I can see samples of all 1041 of them. But you know you are a “bad boy” because you didn’t forewarn me where it hid when exe is clicked. (Ok, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt that you haven’t used it in awhile and just forgot). There I sat wondering why it was not opening, click, nothing, click, nothing…. A dozen or so times and still nothing. So here I sit now grinning from ear to ear. I looked down at the task bar to see the time and there they sat… 12 little icon soldiers standing at attention for me to give them a command. Aw, come on admit it, you are smiling while you read this.
Thanks to both of you, and to all who give freely of your time and advice to help novices like me.
