Does anyone know if Roxio provides the new EMC 8 update on DVD. It's 114MB and I have a dial-up so it would take 15 hours. Rediculous!!! Did they rewrite the whole program?

As far as I know, it's only available via retail (CD) and download.

Unbelievable!!! They barrage you with email to encourage you to buy a high priced product that isn't ready for release, then to get a 114Mb update on disk they want you to pay another $10. I only have a dialup available so it would take me 15 hours to download. Even Microsoft offered their SP1 & SP2 on disk free to those wanted it! You can believe that this is my last time to buy Roxio (Sonic) products!
Some in your situation have done one of the following,
Asked a friend or relative who has a high speed connection to download it; gone to the Library and downloaded it; gotten permission at their place of employment to download it. Then copied it from there onto a cd or jump drive to get it to the pc they need it on.
Maybe you could try one of them in order to get the update.
I'm just suggesting alternate ways you may be able to get it.
