I am trying to create a DVD menu in MY DVD w/ Roxio Media Creator 8, and instead of usnig on of the internal 3 animated backgrounds, i would like to use my own picture background. It seems that when i change the background however, there is black bordering the image, while when the animated backgrounds are in place, there is no black boerdering. Why is this for me? And also, where can i get more animated backgrounds and menu styles without paying money?

The black border is probably the TV 'safe zone' (the part of the picture you don't see with the normal 5% overscan. Try it on a RW disc and see if it shows on the TV playback
