I have made a slideshow in My DVD and was able to burn it onto a DVD-RW.  When I try to burn the same project onto a DVD-R, it doesn't burn.  When I try to copy the project from the DVD-RW onto a DVD-R, it tells me that there was a problem reading disc trying to copy. I have runied 3 brand new DVD's right out of the box.  I have also tried different media, and that is not working either. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can resolve this problem?

If it didn't burn, you can't ruin anything…

Insert a blank DVD-R disc and open Classic. Under Tools start the Disc and Device Utility.

What does it report for the Make/Model of the Burner and its' Firmware Version?

What does say about the blank disc?

Has your burner ever been able to write to that media?
