I've tried the memory suggestions in the bios this screen suggests (disable cache and shadowing to no avail.) No other burning software is installed. I've tried running with most everything else closed -no go

What are you trying to copy? Almost all commercial discs have DRM protection and this program will not break that protection.

I can't even get to that point. I double click on the shortcut, the program comes up for a few seconds then goes to formentioned screen. This is a two month old machine running at 1.8 with a Geforce 6600 video card. No problems with anything until I loaded this software.

I can't be too certain about DVD Copy as it isn't part of the EMC suite (well it's not listed as such in any of the modules) but IE7 could be a culprit here (it is in other Roxio apps)
