I have a DVD copy program that creates a Video Clip file of a movie or whatever. The original DVD has data on both sides. Side 1 is the movie and side 2 is all the extras. I made the copy and placed it on my desktop. It works perfectly. I then wanted to copy or move this file to a DVD-R disc. I did this and the appropriate Roxio component loads and the copy was created. No problem.
I then did the same process for side 2 and everything proceeds to the point where I am to select BURN, and I get the error message 80046000. Given that it worked fine a few hours ago, what is it trying to tell me now? It is not a firmware issue. I just want to copy this single file to the DVD media. I can copy it to an external hard drive where it also works fine. I hesitate to keep feeding new DVD-R discs into it as once inserted they seem to be useless for other purposes. Any suggestions?

You say it isn't a firmware issue - I take it you checked for an update

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed
