I burnt some .mpgs to a DVD-R, closed session. I could view them on the computer on which I burnt the dvd, but on my home computer, the dvd is reading as empty--not even reading as a DVD. Any way to salvage this dvd/access the data? What went wrong? Help would be much appreciated.

What program did you use to create the DVD? If it was Drag to Disc and you are unable to read it in the original machine, a different approach may have to be tried

To try to recover, you may need a third party app. Either Isobuster or cdroller will work. You can download trial versions which will let you know if the disc is readable before you purchase them
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

I didn't use Drag to Disc for sure, I believe it was Creator Classic.

Thank you for the links. We'll see if they work!
