I love the program. It's free, so naturally it's has limited capabilities.
I WISH THAT ROXIO alllowed the user to pick sub-folders in the display "my photo's" folder option.
As the program is now....you have to let everyone who looks at your media ticker all of the photos in someones "MY PICTURES" folder. Some of us have personal or naughty pictures stored in this folder and do not wish the program to allow someone to see these personal or naughty pics. Soooo....an option to allow the display of SUBFOLDERS of the "MY PICTURES" folder would be a great idea.

hi sciencedj
thanks - glad you like the app! you can do what you're asking today in MediaTicker 2. You just browse to the folder where you want MediaTicker to display images. For example, if you have a folder inside "My Pictures" called "Family Faves", you just go to the Options window, click on the "Sources" tab and browse to the "Family Faves" folder. Then click "Add Folder" to add it to the list of directories that Mediaticker looks in to display pictures.
If you haven't already upgraded to version 2, I highly recommend it - it has tons of additional features to version 1.
best

I also love Media Ticker-- may be best free program I've ever seen! Would love it even more if it permitted selection of folders on network and/or removable media! Any chance? Thanks!

Thanks for the kudos, Leo!
Support for network or removable folders is not currently planned, but we think you will like what is! Version 3 beta coming up soon.
Thanks for the feature request, too - will keep it on the list.
