I went to Creator Classis, and clicked on HElP, systems hangs. Have to go to Task manager and stop it. Was trying to see what version I had and update if necessary. Tried several other programs in the Roxio suite and get the same response.
This was split because your problem had more to do with problems with V8 than with just updating the version. Do you have any other problems with running V8?
Open Creator Classic. Bring up Windows Task Manager. Select the
Processes tab. Now try to get to the help files. One of the processes should be taking a lot of CPU. Which one is it?
Roxio Watch Tray and some services under Media Manager ( like watching folders) will take a lot of CPU and could cause the system to hang. If you don't need them, turn them off.
It would also help if you put your system specs in your signature. Just select My Controls at the top of the page and then look to the left to edit your signature.
