Whenever I click on edit video I get an error message when it tries to load.  The program never loads. Any ideas?  I am running RC9 with the Vista update.  PC is brand new Dell with plenty of ram and processor speed.

What's the error message?  What type of files are these? Are you able to view the video using Windows Media Player?

The message reads "Videowave 9 has stopped working... Windows is looking for a solution."  Needless to say, no solution is found.

The files are AVI files imported from my Canon camcorder.

Have you tried a different type of file----one not from your camcorder?  We need to find out if the problem is with Videowave or the file your camcorder produces.

Thanks for your reply.  I can't open up the video editor at all.  It's not a matter of it not editing some video; when I click on edit video, it just crashes.

Can you open MyDVD?  What about mpeg activation---have you done that yet?  It should ask you to activate after you've opened VW or MyDVD a few times.  If this is the case, you might take a look at the Activation section of this forum.

I have not activated mpeg.  I remember being asked or seeing a message once, but not since.  How do I check that or configure it?

You should have done this as soon as it asks. Try opening up MyDVD (hopefully you can) and adding an mpeg file to a project.  That should force it to ask. If not, read this.

OK, I can't open MyDVD; I still get a crash.  Should I uninstall and reinstall?
