I had to do a non-destructive format of my computer because of some issues. I reinstalled the Roxio software and it shows up on the start menu, but if I click on Creator Classic, it won't launch at all. When I click on Disk Copier, it tells me "this is an invalid installation. Please reinstall..." I've tried reinstalling, repairing, etc, to no avail.

I'm running Windows XP, all service packs, etc. are updated. I downloaded the update for Easy Creator 6 - still won't work.

Since my first post, I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling twice more. I have also tried the repair option. I have uninstalled using the remove option on the disk and have uninstalled using the 'remove programs' option on Windows XP. I have downloaded and installed all updates/patches that are available. When I download and install the main update, it tells me that my product is already up to date. When installing the Creator Classic update, it says it cannot find any valid product associated with the update. It allowed me to update the DVD and Drag to Disc programs - but nothing has changed when trying to use any of the programs. DVD Builder won't load, Creator Classic won't open. Disc Copier opens the legal screen about not copying programs illegally, but then won't open the program. Drag to Disc will open, but when you try to use the program it says "this operation will be canceled because the end user agreement has not been agreed to."
Dell Dimension 4300
Windows XP Home, version 2002 (SP2 and all other updates installed)
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 1.60GHz
1.59 GHz, 512MB RAM
80 GB HDD with 120 GB secondary HDD and 160 GB external HDD
NVIDIA GeForce2 MX (updated drivers)
TDK DVDRW040N DVD/CD-ROM (current driver/firmware)
Microsoft IE 7 (current version)
DirectX 9.0 installed
all drivers/firmware that I'm aware of are all updated
I've uninstalled all of the EMC9.0 programs that I don't think I'll be using

Try uninstall/re-install
Go into your add/remove programs and remove Roxio.......then use this Roxio utility called Roxizap that you can use to remove all remnants of Roxio/Adaptec software for you. Caution, I understand it may also remove registry entries for GoBack, so if you have that installed, uninstall it first, then re-install after running roxizap.

You can get roxizap here: http://tools.roxio.c...ols/roxizap.exe

Then re-install from your installation disc. If you require any updates they are on the left of this page (Software Updates) make sure you apply the correct one, Basic or Platinum.

A thousand thanks to you! The roxizap program did it. I was a little hesitant since it indicated it was for EC 4 or 5 (I have 6), but it worked! Thanks, thanks, thanks!
