Hello,
I have a set of computers (running Mac OS X 10.4.8) connected via firewire to analog/digital video converter boxes. Whenever I first open Toast and click on the DVD-Video tab, a DV camera symbol appears in the file dropping area. It looks like Toast assumes I want to import video from the camera directly. Is there a setting to keep this from happening every time Toast is opened?
Thanks in advance!

No. Toast always is looking to see if a Firewire DV device is connected. You'll need to select and delete the device from the Video window every time you launch Toast while the device is connected. Adding to the problem is that Toast won't record through that device. The Plug & Burn feature only works with DV camcorders, not with analog/digital converters.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
