Although this refers to EMC7, IE7 has been known to cause problems

I have been running EMC7.5 with IE7 with no problems. It is only when I went to EMC9 that I had a problem. It seems that Roxio should make EMC9 work with the latest MS software.

You must not do any video work, then. Try bringing a .dmsm file into DVD Builder and see what happens.

Perhaps MS should stop putting out stuff that wrecks other apps

You didn't really want a solution to your problem. It is really tough to tell, from your response, whether or not you are addressing my post, or just babbling again, about your problem.
You have been given a probable solution to your problem, and you won't do it. I don't believe you, when you say that you have no problems with EMC 7.5, with IE7 installed. I know better.

You need to be able to do video
IE7 wrecks EMC 7, 7.5 and 8 and also causes problems with 9

I'm running a:

"MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ RUNTIME LIBRARY
PROGRAM C:\PROGRAM FILES\ROXIO\VIDEOUI9\VIDEOWAVE9.EXE
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more information."
I then click "ok" and another window pops up:
"MICROSOFT VISUAL C++ RUNTIME LIBRARY
PROGRAM C:\PROGRAM FILES\ROXIO\VIDEOUI9\VIDEOWAVE9.EXE
R6025 - pure virtual function call"
I click "ok" again, and the program shuts down. This is only the second time I've used this program. The first time I used it (about a month ago), it worked fine.
I have XP Pro with IE7. Little help?

You could try uninstalling IE 7 to see if that helps, it does cause problems with many programs on XP.
Also take a look at this Knowledgebase articlefor that error:
