I am having an issue with drag to disc. i am unable to format blank media. I had this error with version 8, so I upgraded to verion 9. still the same error. the error reads Format operation on drive (x):\ failed: unspecified error occurred. I thought this was a drive issue so I replaced the drive with a new one. still the same error. anybody have any ideas what this issue is being cause by and how to rectify it?
I am running and xp machine. the interesting thing is I can burn disc copies or use creator classsic to make cdr's.
any help would be appreciated.

Keep using Creator Classic. It is more reliable for backing up important data. But, D2D should still be available, if you want it. It is a problem in EMC 9. Hopefully, one day, there won't be any packet writing software in any of the suites available for home use.

I have never kept D2D on my computer. Since I found out Direct CD took total control of my burning, back in version 4, I have not had any packet writing software on my systems.
Life is good!
