unsure.gif My 1st visit here & everything goes wrong! Please send me to the right forum.

Product: Roxio Creator 9 Suite I have HP M7070n, XP SKP2+ updates. never had this problem with Ver7!
I have 24 hours to make disks, CD & DVD. Ver9 crashes computer when trying to make CD & DVD & when trying to eject them! What do I do? Is there a way to get it to show me what is happening, like Ver7?? Also how do I remove file if it is too large to burn on 1 DVD? These are documents, jpgs, etc nothing fancy. Getting all kinds of unstable OS & rollback messages. I am trying to read the Help that came with it, but no answers.
I tried to get a ticket but it won't go through. It said " System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: String or binary data would be truncated. INSERT statement conflicted with COLUMN FOREIGN KEY constraint 'FK_Solutions_Ticket'. The conflict occurred in database 'Roxio', table 'Ticket', column 'ticket_number'. The statement has been terminated. The statement has been terminated. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteNonQuery() at WebTicket.v2_3.Roxio.problem.SaveTicket(Boolean bolSolved)" So how do I reach a tech?

Please send help tomorrow is closing in. PACJ

Are you using Creator Classic? If not, use it instead of Drag to Disc.

Also, stop Roxwatch and Drag to Disc from running at startup via msconfig.

Thanks for your answer, I have only ever had RecordNow! version 7 now I have version 9, which does not want to play nice. If I stop them from starting up can I still use the program? PACJ

Basically yes - all you are doing is stopping them loading up at boot (they're still there if you want to use them (which most people don't)

glare.gif I am aging rapidly! Both regular & classic view crashed my computer, as did my trying to eject, cd still in. It took most of the day to get someone on live chat, I then did a clean uninstall, and then an almost install. Don't know if it worked, the program does NOT like my serial#. So I am going nowhere. I really loved version7! Sigh. I'll let you know if it ever works. Thanks.

Check here if you think you may have got the serial wrong

http://www.roxio.com/REGISTRATION/login.as...%2fDefault.aspx

Enter your e-mail and password and there is a record there of all your CD keys for each program you registered

Check also you didn't confuse 'l' and '1' or '0' and 'O'
If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

angry.gif Back again! I did what you said & found a totally different #! It didn't work either. Tech gave me a link & there is a program to install to fix that & I had to do a very claen uninstall & install. How many times I don't remember! So now I'm testing it & surprise no crashes, but I can't record either!

I draged small sample folder to open E screen & dropped, I think it made a copy, after 5min & ejected it (program never said anything). I did not "Finish" disk, as I had more to add. Put in F tray to try to see jpgs & F said put in disk (it did not see disk) before in ver7 it showed & you can access items.

So I put disk back in E and tried to add several iems (well over 600 free space), I clicked red button & it turned yellow, no matter what I treid can NOT add jpgs. I put disk in F tray still can't see it. Re read Help manual NOW what do I do?? At least it has not crashed the computer, yet. I am 1 week behind schedule & am trouble, not to mention that this program hates me.

I will now find another discussion group that deals with lack of recording issues and ask them for help. I really liked ver7 RecordNow! PACJ

Even though Drag to Disc should work, you are far better off using Creator Classic. It is more reliable.

I am having a similar problem getting support. I am attempting to post a support problem with Roxio regarding Suite 9. But the support system keeps giving me an error. No matter what issue I select, it simply comes back with an error saying "Please select an issue" and will not let me past the screen.

Any ideas on how to post a call with Roxio support?
