Thanks in advance for your help. I thought I'd try this as a simpler tool to edit video than the Adobe Premier I already had... but I can't get far enough into EMC9 to see it work.

"Matrox Millennium G550 graphics card is not supported
Due to the limited capabilities of this card, it is not supported for this application. Using this graphics card with VideoWave will cause undesirable results. "
I doubt updated drivers for this card will help..............sorry Rick14.

My Dell first Gen. XPS, that I gave to my wife, only had an AGP slot. The best AGP card I could find at the time was the ATI X850XT-PE 256 MB card.
That would definately handle it and prices are cheap now. I am sure there is a comparable Nvidia card if you prefer Nvidia.

First, the Readme I have for EMC9 says no such thing, in fact in doesn't mention any brand of cards. There is also no mention of any minimum greater than 32MB.
True, the matrox web site makes no mention of DirectX 9, but the readme for the latest driver (which I installed) says it requires DirectX8 or later...
Lastly, I ran the dxdiag utility and could verify I was indeed running DirectX 9 and all of the on-screen tests were successful. The only thing I did notice was that I have no support for Direct3D Acceleration.
Any other ideas before I take this product back to the retailer?
Thanks,
Rick
Postscript! There IS such a statement that this card is NOT supported... not in the README minimum requirements, but I found it on a link from the readme to KNOWN ISSUES with the VIDEOWAVE application. Thanks!!

That's why it's not working. Your card doesn't support all of the functions of Directx9, which EMC 9 requires it to.
