Does it list an error? Do you still have Drag to Disc installed?  If so, remove Drag to Disc and reboot and see if the problem disappears.

What is drag to disc?

I don't think I have that, it is not listed in the Add/Remove programs.

I have Roxio Creator Audio
Roxio Creator Basic V9
Roxio Creator Copy
Roxio Creator Data
Roxio Creator Easy Archive
Roxio Creator Tools

Roxio Express Labeller 3
Roxio MyDVD v9

Those above two work though....

Hi

I am having the same issue.  I purchased a new HP Pavilion dv2000 notebook (big mistake)  I tried calling their award winning support, which they claim.  I spoke to someone from another country that could barely speak english.  There solution was to re-install the OS.  That seems to be their solution for everything unless you pay for extra support which should come included with the purchase of a new computer.  My Roxio creator basic crashes at startup when I do not have internet access.  When I was at home on  my wireless network the program opened fine.  Is an internet connection required to run this program?  These seems very weird.  I am at work now and I cannot open Roxio basic.

Internet access is only required for rewgistration and activation - once that's done it shouldn't come on again

OEM support is normally provided by the OEM (in your case HP) as the suite has been modified for their systems and it won't be the same as the full version (or any other OEM version) but check for running Roxio apps - one of those may be trying to go online for some reason

I don't quite understand what you mean - do you mean it wrecks the program, messes it up or does what exactly?
