i'm using toast7 with a macmini and a lacie d2. the burner's cd tray won't respond to onscreen commands to open or close. toast will not burn a cd saying that the cd tray needs to be closed before proceeding. the tray has been closed the only way it can be, manually, but that status isn't being recognized. i'm at a stand still. i tossed the roxio prferences in the mac's library. i've uninstalled and reistalled the toast software. HELP
toast won't talk to burner

The most likely reason for this is that Toast is looking at the built-in slot-loading drive instread of the LaCie drive. The name of the drive that Toast is looking at is listed at the bottom of the Toast window near the burn button. Click on the name and it will switch to the other connected drive. Toast remembers the last drive used for burning discs.
I'm just a fellow Toast-user so please don't blame Roxio for any misguidance I may provide. And do let me know if your issue gets solved. Cheers from Eugene, Oregon!
