Have imported a couple of DVDs to DVD folders (VIDEO_TS) on my hard drive.
I can add them to my Production, but there is no audio other than an annnoying ticking sound.
If I open the panel to trim the video, the sound is normal.
I I use DVD playback software to play the files in the VIDEO_TS folder the audio is fine as well.

Any ideas?

I'm having a similar problem, except that I get badly distorted sound.  When I burn a DVD or trim the video, the sound is OK.  Repairing or uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't fix it either.

Gary, this has come up several times in the last day or so.  Solution 1, turn down your audio acceleration by using dxdiag - audio tab.  Solution 2  for non-standard audio formats, use Sound editor to export the sound as a wav file and use that in the production.

Sounds like solution 1 is the right one for you.
