What version of the software do you have?

If 2006, go to start/roxio/backup mypc deleuxe 6 and hit configure devices. Does it see your external drive there?

Does Windows recognize you external tape drive?

I recently purchased a usb Personal Media drive from HP.  It came with BackupMyPC 7.  I have the same problem.  It will only recognize my CD burner and C: Drive as a drive to which I can back up to.  It does however see my Personal Media Drive as a drive that I can backup from.   I contacted HP and they informed me that it was a known issue and that they were working on rectifying the problem. They stated that they would get back to me when they had an answer.  That was a week ago.

These are public Forums, searched by google and other search engines, which in turn are searched by spamers seeking to "harvest" email addresses for spamming purposes.

I'd suggest you might want to edit your email address out - if it's not already too late sad.gif

I realize it wouldn't be a +1, but why not use your powers to edit the email from the op's post.

That would of hopefully prevented the "harvest", if that was the purpose of your post.
