I made a video/photo slideshow in VideoWave, not knowing that I should've made it in MyDVD. I have this project now, but can't burn it to a disk since I made it in the wrong spot. What do I have to do so I can burn it to a disk or to my computer so I could e-mail it to someone who doesn't have the same software? PLEASE HELP!

You did it right (creating video/slideshow in Videowave).

In MyDVD, click Add New Movie and then point to your Videowave video production. That should load your Videowave production. Create your menu/background music and click the Burn icon. It's good to create an image file first then burn that image file to DVD using Disc Copier. You can burn as many copies of DVD using that DVD to send to your friends/relatives.

I too have done that. Once you get the video wave prod to My Dvd you can also choose not to add menus or chapters and burn that way. Do save as disc image first!  dan r

Lindsay,

It's much easier to "create" your project using VideoWave and then burning a disc to hard drive. Which you did. After that, take that movie to "My Dvd" and use that to create your menus, any submenus and chapters if you want or need those. Once all that is done in MY DVD, export or burn as an .iso file to hard drive.

Then with Disc Copier, you can burn a disc pretty quickly using that .iso image. The quickness comes from the fact that all the info is contained in the iso file, so from that you can burn as many discs as you want.

Some suggest you first burn to a DVD-/+RW to check that all is ok. If not then you can erase the RW. If you found something wrong in the burn to the DVD+/-RW, then you can bring your project back into VideoWave, correct what you need to, then burn a video to your hard drive again. AGAIN, bring that video into MY DVD, do the Menu, chapter stuff and then burn another new and improved .iso file to hard drive.

I good rule of thumb is, burn at only 1/2 the speed as your disc media you are using. If it is an X8 disc, burn at X4. If X16 is the max for the disc, then burn at only X8. With RWs you can check and see if your DVD burner will make good burns at a higher speed.

In short:

1] VideoWave = Create project. From VideoWave, burn a movie to HD.
2] Bring movie into MYDVD, create Menu, chapters and all that. Burn .iso to HD.
3] Disc Copier = Navigatge to the .iso and burn disc. Burn as many discs as you need from that .iso.

Good Luck and let us know how you are getting along.
