Video Wave Rendering Error

After I've edited a video and have saved the project... when I go to Output as and use the default settings for the file and error alway comes back

VideoWave 8


An error occured durning Rendering


and then the computer freezes up and I have to end task on Video Wave 8 to get my computer back...

Any ideas???

Please list your computer specs especially your video card. In what format is the video file you are using, how long in time is it?

Will do... I'll have to wait till I get home tonight to look up the specs... I did get a new mother board...

Athlon dule-core 3800
Asus A8N-SLI Mother board >>>>>  This is new <<<<<
Nvidia SLi video card
Plenty of hard drive space  over 600 gig
Microsoft Meadia Center

Now the mother board has been changed since this problem came up....

That is one sweet motherboard!!!!!!  Make sure that you have the latest drivers for that video card.

OK I up dated all the video drivers and the same error...  

What do I try next?

Would reinstalling EMC8 do any good?

OK I think I figured it out... It would give me that error if I saved the final avi file in the same directory with the same name as the project!  When I saved it in a different directory it worked...

I believe that is what happened...
