Just curious if anybody else has run across this error message. I can select a panel - and click on 'add narration' - it is available as an option - not greyed out - and when the window opens, as I talk into the mic - the record bars move up and down - I can hear myself through the speakers - everything seems to be working - Until... I hit the record button.
Then I get an error message: Problems with capturing narration.
I have tried this with the same result on the internal track.
I am able to go into 'Applications' from the Home page of EMC8 - and use the sound editor without any problems.
I am able to use my microphone with other applications - it just seems that I'm having problem adding a narration to an IN PROGRESS video in VIDEOWAVE.
Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure but try this. After you have VideoWave open and have you Mic on, go to Windows, Open Volume control (r click on the speaker icon at the bottom right side of your display and select recording. Is the Mic selected there? I have another program that tends to deselect the Mic if I'm not careful.
Regardless of what I say about computer maintenance, there is no need to defrag a solid state hard drive.

Steve:
Thanks for taking the time to reply. The mic is selected, but I still get the error message. I'm confused as to why it works in other apps, including Roxio's Sound Editor, but not video wave. I'll tinker around, but in the meantime, if you, or anyone else, have any other suggestions, they would be appreciated.
