I went to Best Buy and even their geeks couldn't stop the error message. I uninstalled the Drag to Disk and it totally cured it. The message is gone but Easy Media works just fine without the Drag to Disk. FINALLY! <img src="http://forums.suppor...IR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I just uninstalled drag to disk and hope it will work for me as well I am on Windows 7.
Thanks for the suggestion.

You posted to the end of a three year old thread regarding Vista.

You are using Windows 7

EMC 9 will not, and I repeat NOT work on Windows 7.

The earliest suite that will is Creator 2010

It's the old Drag-to-Disc driver that Windows 7 objects to. That patch updates Drag-to-Disc so that Windows 7 stops objecting to the driver.

But it won't fix any other incompatibilities between Windows 7 and EMC 9, if there are any.

I've had this problem for a couple of years, but it didn't really bother me. I'd either close the little windows (2) or the programs I opened up would cover them, but something changed recently and now the white rectangular window with not text in it stays open and does not get covered up by programs I opens so I had to find a solution which brought me here and I found what was mentioned above worked. I have windows 7. I opened up control panel, then programs and features then removed the program "Roxio drag to disc". Worked great. Thanks all!

Thanks Scruffydog777.

The two solutions were:

(1) Uninstall Drag-to-Disc completely to remove the drivers which Windows 7 doesn't like,

or

(2) Find the patch which used to be provided at that link in post #23, and update D2D to version 9. Unfortunately the company is owned by Corel now, and they've taken the patch down, so solution 1 is the only one left..

Brendon
